What better to do on a fall, football Saturday, than to get up at 3:45 to smoke a brisket. To wit, 9hrs on smoker, 2.5 on gas grill (wrapped), finished 2 hours in a 290 oven (wrapped). Very, very tender, could have been a tad more moist, I attribute that to the hot oven finish but we were hankering to eat. Also grilled corn & romaine lettuce, caramelized onions, andouille, and some buttered naan bread. Kathy cooked down some purple hull peas. Her peach cobbler a la mode was aces. No comment on the peas LSU just scoring on a 76 yard pass was icing on the cake
