I called "The Glass Doctor" today to make sure we were on the same track. I talked to a guy who said the guy I talked to on Saturday was wrong and they could not laminate two pieces together. He didn't know of a good way I could do it either.He said the glass is 1/4" laminate and a factory would have to make it special order. He estimated $200 at least. To laminate the glass they put a film between the layers and heat it in a special oven. He said he's never had success using silicone or other adhesives to laminate glass.
Sorry for the misinformation. I'll keep looking. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
