... I really (REALLY) like my mono S-3000 ($30). It sounds excellent.
RF performance (again, it's mono) is adequate for my deep-fringe suburban location with an indoor antenna. I cannot vouch for the other Sherwoods (e.g., the stereo and AM/FM tuners) but I have to imagine that they're at least as good.HH Scotts will get you more bang, but for more bucks.
McIntosh: incrementally increases bang for exponentially increasing bucks.
