Try a Fisher FM-50B or KM-60/61. These are little giant killers that with the right front end tubes and an alignment are not too far musically from the 10B and easily run with the top tier classics. After the 10B, you're not going to like SS. These Fishers were $25 steals ten years ago. The price has jumped lately as folks have discovered their secret, but it is still reasonable.Running a tuner like a 10B on today's commercial FM band is like driving a Ferrari through a construction zone. A terrible waste of unused performance anymore. I unloaded all my hyper-expensive hyper-performance tuners a LONG time ago as the broadcasting quality degenerated.
I can now count the listenable stations on half a hand, and I live in a major market. These Fishers are far more tuner than you'll need today and going forward.
