Hi Danny,
Yes, I saw you 10B auction on Ebay + the classified on Audigon.
Nice tuner & I bet that it sounded real nice. Pity that you had to give it up. You had 5 I read!Funny that you ask about replacing it as I've been on a tuner hunt myself! I've been scouring Ebay auctions for a used but nice sounding tuner.
You didn't specify whether or not you agreed to go to a synthesized/quartz tuner but I'm assuming that for practical purposes that you wouldn't mind. If that's not the case, stop reading my post right here!
Otherwise, some of the recommendations are:-
* Sansui TU-S9 - approx $150 on Ebay
* Sansui TU-D99X - anywhere from $60-$100 on Ebay.
* Technics ST-G7 - one Ebay auction ended yesterday for $92 & one ended earlier this week for $110.
* Revox B160 - this one usually goes for ~$400
* Magnum Dynalab FT101 or FT101A - these usually go for $300-$500 on Ebay & there is usually a war during the last 60 seconds! Those lit meters look very nice & one of my friends has the FT101 - sounds very nice indeed! This is the only tuner that uses an analog PLL (I think).Regards
