You could try turning the antenna more towards the 16 mi. station,
but I know not easy if stuck in the trusses. Or maybe you're overloading the tuner with too much signal from the powerful station..you can
try a 6db attenuator in line with the cable on the tuner end and see
what happens..they're cheap.
