As best I can, here are the improvements. Yes, higher resolution and better bass. Greater dynamics. More clarity and openness. More of what I can only call "authority." Overall, it has made my best tapes sound just fantastic. Mel Torme, in a Ebay tape I got yesterday is -- yes -- right here in the room. I've never heard a tape do that to such an extent. And tapes I found really mediocre sound quite nice now.All from a power cord change? I know, I wouldn't have believed it myself. Actually the tape decks were the last components to get the new power cords (after the linestage, phonostage, power amps and main CD player). Wish you could hear the before and after.
