To try to respond to both of you

No offense either, Marantzguy, but I'd have to see details of your system to understand why you can't hear the effects of better power cords. I mean, really better. Whether Monster makes any, I don't know. I'm using CryoMax III wire from CryoParts and conductors from Marinco and Furutech.

To Doc B, I've always kept my connectors clean and shiny. This is altogether different. I'm not adding any ground wire (there was obviously none before) and everything is silent as a tomb with both Teac decks.

Sorry, I'd forgotten that power cord upgrades are a controversial subject. I couldn't hear the effects earlier either, for whatever reason -- not-great wire, not-great enough system. As for taking measurements of the improvements, I'm neither equipped nor inclined. :-)
