Basic 2nd order crossover. 22 ohm resistor is a simple type of "zobel" for reasons explained by Pete above.

The coil and resistor are not across the amp's output terminals as the cap is in the way.

About this path of least resistance....lets say you have a voltage source...call it a battery. Now lets put a 10 ohm resistor from positive to negative. We have current flow through it...right? Now lets add another resistor, this one 20 ohms. Would we have any current flow through the 20 ohm resistor or only through the 10 ohm resistor because it is the path of least resistance?

Answer....1.2 amps through 10 ohm and 0.6 amps through 20 ohm for 12 volt battery.
