Re: 12V DC power supply voltage too high

Several things may be going on. First, you must have a step down transformer, that is the source of the voltage. If you have no real load on it, it may look like it is giving a higher o/p then it really will under a real load. If you had something that took a little current and ran at 15 volts you could hook it up to see if the voltage drops.
