Chasing women is not a bad habit, unless you or the women are married. And drinking is not a bad habit if you drink in moderation.If I enjoy trying new hifi gear, I don't why you regard this hobby as a bad habit. But since you do, I would like to know which hobbies meet your approval.
There is no need to point out that by spending less money on hifi I would have more money to spend chasing women. I've already tried that, and it was a dumb idea.
Regarding hypnotism, you should be the one who tries it. Ask the hypnotist to help (1) break your bad habit of poking your nose in other peoples' business, and (2)convince you each new hifi component you buy will increase you enjoyment.
