Re: YOU CAN Be Sure About the changes in air pressure

"In recording, engineers are fully aware of hearing foibles and often double check so products like the pebbles, magic wood blocks, stupidly expensive cable etc would never fly as you can’t generally hear that kind of stuff if you double check (A vs B with no prior knowledge)."

Heck with the Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Puffs, and Magic Marbles..... Most recordings today are awful to where it wouldn't matter whether one listened to it through a SET system and Eminence speakers or through a Panasonic disposable receiver and Bose speakers.....

I think this is why hardly anybody in the mainstream becomes interested in high-fidelity playback.

"The true blue audiophile with a fully implanted hook would chime in 'yeah, recording engineers, look at today’s music, look at the CD ugh'"

You just illustrated the problem. Too many engineers produce awful recordings, and then turn around laying blame on everything but themselves in regard to why people don't like the products. Often discounting the audiophile community as "wackos" in the process. At least people who project such attitude aren't really fooling anybody.

There happen to be a select few engineers who do put out absolute work, and in listening to such recordings, it illustrates the massive quality disparity between the few standouts and the mass mediocrity. It's getting to the point where crafting fine recording is becoming a lost art.
