Soundmind you are digressing from being what I had previously considered to be a civil Objectivist, to what's now coming across as arrogant.

Your response of "That's already been done. It's called frequency response." to my statement that "It's POSSIBLE that in researching "these sounds" and trying to develop a way to measure them, that we MIGHT for the first time actually have a test that correlates what's been heard, with what's been measured" is jut plain ludicrous!

"These sounds" or musicality have little to do with frequency response. If it did one would be able to make a non-musical system musical with the simple addition of an equalizer. Yet in all my 40 years in this hobby no one has EVER equalized musicality into a system that lacked it in the first place.
