I might have several possible reactions.1. Leave it alone, it's a waste of time.
2. I could correct the misconception, point out the truth, give the reasons *why* it's the truth, and perhaps recommend a good book on the subject.
3. I could say, "That's completely wrong! Do your homework! Can't you google?"

Now, 1) isn't very satisfactory. I do agree with y'all on that. Learning is good.
2). Been there, done that, tried it. Lots. Got nothing but abuse, insult, scorn, pissing, attacks, it's like being the only Juke in a sea of Kalikak's.
3). See 2.
I'd rather help out, but, well, y'all, most of the people here aren't here to listen. Now, I'm not sayin' you in the same basket, I'm just tellin' y'all why I don't teach no more.
At least tellin' somebody to google might get them off their butt.
