RE: A tale of three sound cards. DAC/Opamp advice please?

Hey, thanks Fred. Oh, and good catch - it's a CS4382 8 channel DAC, not a CS8420 SRC.

It was the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude that has four 2-channel DACS (4396 x 4), but the Creative X-Fi's have one 8-channel CS4382. The X-fi Opamp/Dac combo is almost easier to listen to compared to the better built X-Meridian despite it having better DACS.

I am really hoping the LM/LME op amps will improve things over the stock 5532. Maybe they were counting on people wanting to upgrade? ;)
