An internet acquaintance lent me a pair of 1' XLO Signature Shotgun cables to evaluate. I liked the results so much that purchased a pair of the same in 4' length. I immediately noticed that the 4' pair sound better.Pierre Sprey at Mapleshade records believes speaker cables should be at least 8' long for best sound. I have heard others say 6'.
