Partial Fix - (I Celebrate Even small victories).

Um, Er, Urgh , I put the top / chassis cover back on the P2 and the hum dropped significantly and is no longer volume dependant. I still have a hum, now in the phono and the line stage, with a small buzz in the line stage only.

I have changed toobs until I am blue in the face. Have done best with two 5814's Sylvanias in the rear of the line stage and two Mullard CV4004 in the front. All phono tubes are Mullard CV4024, also been changed several times (I have quite a few NOS,). Even tried JJ tubes, GE , Sylvania, etc.

I haven't tried the stand ground yet, that will be next. However, I don't think that will get rid of the buzz in the line stage.

How about adding the Jensen Transformers to the phono stage. Will that give me more gain and quiet things down also. (No responses on this question yet)!

Thanks for your help, but "we aint done yet".

Bob
