Thanks Ralph. How did you ground your Sound Anchor stand? Did I tell you that if I touch the preamp. grounding post that the hum goes away? It does.
The stand is a 54" tall ,5/8" Threaded rod(4 legs) with 2 " thick wood laminated shelves. Turntable. sits on a 65 lb. structure made up of a 1/2"Rosewood shell with a 1" thick base, 3 - 2" diameter springs, and an 18"X24"X1/2" thick piece of Lead.
The P2 is on the next shelf down. And below that is the CD player, below that is the tuner , and below that on the bottom is the electronic flywheel and power supply for the SOTA( 1 box)Each component sits on it's own 2" thick particle board shelf.
The room is on it's own dedicated A/C line (homerun). I have unplugged all in the room , lights, phone, tuner, CD Player and Tuner while testing (during the day), One single non- florecent bulb at night.Still no progress.
I have Cherry picked my tubes by putting them in the phono circuit of the P2 one at a time. In the rear left position (and Listening to them),that is. Pretty easy to tell that way...
ThanksBob
