7236 versus 6AS7G

0

Hello everybody,

I have ordered the assembly manual from Atma-Sphere for the M60. Since I have a bunch of 7236 tubes in stock I'm considering to use them. Is it OK to use them instead of the 6AS7G? What will happen to the output impendance? I cannot find it in the tube data but it seemed to be the plate resistance of the 7236 is lower than the 6AS7G. The amplification factor and the transconductance is also twice as much as the 6AS7G. What effect do these make on the amp? Does the 7236 like working with a fixed bias?
Has the 7236 a built-in fuse? If there is, it is not visible. I've got two types of the 7236. Sylvania's which are built like the 6AS7, Tungsols and Cetrons which are built similair with box shaped anodes. Is there realy a difference between them?

Thanks,
Ralph
