Just a final note on the CLS after re-reading some of the previous posts. The discussion invoving treble roll-off due to the CLS's low impedance at high frequencies has much to do with impedance matching between the amp and speaker and less to do with the output power of the amplifier. A lower power amp may well sound better on these speakers if it can properly match with them and drive them. Indeed, in my 15 years with these I found the 100W Music Reference RM-9 the best drive for them (on the 2 or 4 ohm output tap) vs the higher powered VTL-300 and other amps. It's for these reasons that Martin Logan recommends solid state amps for these. They can be made to work as some of us have found out with tubes, but it takes a more careful match.
In the end, while I loved what they did right they are very particular about the room they're in and setup. When I moved to a smaller room other speakers worked better for me (especially when mated with the M60's). I settled with VSM-SE's with the M60s in my smallish 14x16 room.
Back in my larger room with the right amp I wouldn't have traded them. In the right setting they're incredible.
