I'm one of the poor slobs who couldn't get CLSIIzs to work well with any amp I threw at them, and that would include MA1MKIIs. Finally one of the diaphrams peeled away from the back, and I swear I was not pushing them. BTW, if anyone's interested, I have my Quad 63s up for sale on a couple of sites, audioweb and audioshopper. You can take them (as I am not shipping them) for $2000. Downside..you pick them up in Houston, Texas. Upside..you can hear them with MA1MKIIs before you buy. I bought these used over the net, sight (!) unseen or heard, I would not recommend this. They were relatively cheap, but needed some work, like new grill cloths, touch-up paint (black), and new dust covers, the real bitch. Time and money have been spent on them. But all is well now, and they look and sound like new. I baby 'em. I'm either moving down to mini-monitors or up to Sound Labs. This reveals the disease I am afflicted with...audiophilia...AAARGH!!!
