RE: Stiffer spider = lower sensitivity?

A stiffer spider in and of itself won't affect sensitivity much, nor will a stiffer surround, as a consequence of so doing is a higher fs, which will tend to raise broadband sensitivity. If you could isolate the effect of a stiffer spider it might lessen sensitivity, but as is the case with virtually every T/S parameter changing one (or what's physically responsible for it) changes at least a few others as well.
