then, why don't you as crusading pressman do something about it, beside asking 'rhetorical' questions here?
Why not, as a variant of what mkuller suggests below, provide manufacturers with the very vehicle whose absence you appear to decry, viz, a place where they can "go to expose such practices" by allowing these possible victims to post their purported grievances on your Web site? Wouldn't this avoid the "power of the ad dollar ot bring about change" type solution which you believe is "fraught with problems"?
This 'solution' has mojo written all over it, doncha think?
