Actually a picture is worth a thousand words here.I've had a dedicated room for some time now and have learned that swapping components in and out would be much more accurate in a good room than a bad one. This is especially true for speakers. A room with poor acoustics may have synergy with a speaker that has significant flaws or a really good speaker may interact in the room to make it sound like it has a serious flaw.
I don't buy the crap that I've heard a couple of reviewers say about "I know my room". I've been in this hobby far too long and have alot of experience with alot of different equipment. Your room by the way is very respectable.
