Apparently in the new s-phile Art liked the Spe HEs (no outboard xover) better than the Sigs he reviewed two years ago.

A dealer made this point to me: the outboard xover has pros AND cons (and adds hugely to the cost). The con, of course, is the extra set of connections and more wire.

I'd imagine that the louder you listen, the more the outboard xover pays dividends - more SPL = more vibration for an internal xover.

I don't listen too loudly.
