Regarding your questions about the response of your (new?) 3.6r's, I think most owners would advise you that their response, particularly the bass, will improve substantially over time as they get broken in. - Mine didn't sound right for the first two or three months of pretty frequent listening, and they continued to improve throughout the first year.

In other words, don't rush out and spend $10,000 on new amps until you are sure they are fully broken in.
