Thank, easy enough to do.Will consider the option when funds are available and probably have a friend build the parallel J2 for me off of Pass' schematics.
Power looks much better @4 ohms which is probably why you and your golden eared friend are enjoying things more. Transients can easily crest over 15db above steady state and up to 30 db on brass and drums, a bit less on piano. So the extra power may allow that to come through uncompressed so would sound more real and provide better image specificity.
