My only point is that it's such a simple (and easily reversible) procedure that the outside alterations are likely to be more involved. Every connection eliminated annihilates a potential problem and the QR tweeters are pretty robust (making the fuse unnecessary).
Of course, I'm saying this even though I have done nothing to my 3.6s yet (beyond Mye Stands, which I installed about a week after those 3.6s were delivered).
