What's The Real Reason Maggies Sound Drab At Low Volume?

Good morning all,

I am preparing to move from a home with a large finished basement to a 1 bedroom apartment. At some point I will be looking to purchase another pair of Magnapans. As some of you might know, the last pair (MG-2) were trashed. At any rate I am wonderfing if there is anything that can be done to get Magnapan's to sound good to great and low volume. I am going to buy used so I will be looking models below (3.6 or 20.1's). I will also be as certain as I can that whatever model I purchase will be in great shape. I am looking hard at the 1.6 or 2.7 Maggies. As a senior citizen with good hearing I don't think I will miss much if I don't get "ribbon tweeters".

I am ever aware of my neighbors and the fact this living experience will be much different than residing in a seperate home. Also, I don't want to be run out of town due to complaints of loud music. What's the answer and is there any hope the Magnapans "need to play loud saga" can be figured out and eliminated or at least made less bothersome? Or will I have to look at some other speakers that will give me height, depth and wall to wall sound. Thanks all.
