Bill Monroe 78rpm Single !

Great topic Grant! For me the song would have to be 'In The Pines', a Bill Monroe 78 rpm Decca single my dad had. The record was full of pops and scratches and the original recording was made in the '30s. We played it on my dads Magnavox console. While that song never quite made me into a huge bluegrass fan, I still like to hear it from time to time. It brings back early memories of sitting in my dads lap while he would relax after work, that song playing over and over(at my request), while he would tell me stories about the days of live steam on the old Florida East Coast Railroad when he was a boy. I guess that's also why to this day I'm a big rail fan, especially anything FEC!
