Bel Canto vs Ayre?

I've had my V5Xe for a long time and I've always loved it. It was in for a repair for a couple of weeks though and I've had a pair of Bel Canto REF500M monoblocks. My husband likes their sound better... and I think for the most part I do too...

Anyone using these with their maggies? Anyone compared them to the Ayre?
