I'm going to order a Mapleshade audio rack. They are recommending to allow an extra 2" between shelves for their maple platforms.
Am i going to hear a discernible improvement in sound using the platforms with my components?
They look great, but i don't know if they are worth the investment.
Thanks.

If you wish to experiment with a vibration control platform placed on top of the very thick Maple board, I've found good results by placing a much thinner hardwood board on top of a thick Maple John Boos Butcher Block board as a foundation, with a vibration wave blocking pad such as a set of four Herbie's Audio Lab dBNeutralizer pads, or a set of four 10mm x 40mm Carbon Fiber Discs adhered to the bottom of a 1" thick Walnut, Cherry, or Maple tonewood plinth, with Thin grungebuster Dots affixed to the bottom of the Carbon Fiber Discs. The goal is to provide a more lively, dynamic presentation, in my experience.

Love em! Buy the thickest one you can-i use 4 inch thick on cd player, preamp and amp. Are you going to use the triplepoints?
I'm not sure about using the triplepoints. I need to do more research first.
I purchased a Samson rack many years ago. With my gear it outperformed a Grand Prix Audio Monaco stand. AN oustanding equipment rack.
I found the Triplepoints can be unstable in some situations--I'd leave them

Start with one pice of equipment isoblocks and maple. The isoblocks are also sold by hvac contractors.

I use Herbies' Tenderfoot Isolation Feet...

...between equipment and shelves or platfoms, regular-height under frontend equipment and Big-Talls under poweramps. I use five under each PS Audio BHK300 monoamp including one Extra-Firm under the front-center, nearest the main power transformer.
They seem to work VERY well, altho I've never tried anything 'expensive'.

I'm just going to buy the audio rack for now and see how my system sounds before i make any tweaks.
Thanks to everyone for their advice!
