I would like to hear from fellow Audio asylum tweakers who have had audio components cryo treated. Are there some parts of the audio system that have a greater effect on sound after being treated?
I just had my entire headphone system treated by Cryogenics International this weekend. Everything from the A/C duplex, power cables, amplifier, vacuum tubes, headphone cables and headphones. I did not cryo my Sacd player as Charles at Cryogenics has had some units fail to track after treatment due to the tracking diode glue bond failing.
Once I get my system back, I will need to recook components using an Alan Kafton cable cooker and rebreakin my amp and headphones. I will be posting my impressions in a few weeks. One part of this experiment that is fun is that I have two copies of the same Sacd, so I sent one of the Sacd's to be treated. While this system is breaking in, I will listen to the treated and non treated Sacds on my second system. Thank you again Kenster for your past help and informitive posts.

I had a PS Audio Soloist Premier Special Edition cryo'd. It was clearly better than the untreated Power Port Premier AC receptacle that it replaced (and it was excellent! ), but I never heard an uncryo'd version in my system, so I couldn't tell you what percentage of the magic was due to the deep freeze. Cryo-Parts did all the chilly work, and they were fast, efficient and very reasonably priced.

I am glad Deaf Ear mentioned the PS Audio Soloist Premier. I have one that I have never installed and will get treated. The second of three shipments of CD's has returned from Cryo International. So far there has been improvement in each CD or SACD played. None have been damaged or failed to track after treatment. I hope tweakers will send 8.5 pounds of their favorite discs(that will be the minimum $75.00 charge in weight at 9.00 per pound). To save costs I sent the discs without the CD covers. I wrapped bundles of 50 discs in shipping paper and put the stacks of discs in a box. Total cost was less than 50 cents a disc.
I absolutely recommend Cryogrnics International.
This has been a great early Christmas present to myself.
Thank you to Alan Kafton for giving me the courage to try this process.
Hi,
I went to the web site of Cryogenics International to check cost but found no info. Any one have know the cost?Marvin

....are priced individually, as their weight is negligible.
$9 per pound with a $75 minimum. There are further break-points above 31 pounds and 50 pounds, etc.
I recently got a pair of HDMI cables treated, and the improvement in picture quality was immediately obvious. I've also had CDs treated, and while the results were positive, I couldn't afford to have more than a few treated (I've got over 7,000). Overall, I've had very good results with the process.
Well my cryo'd components will arrive on Wednesday. Total time door to door 8 days! Charles Beresford at Cryogenics International has been a real pleasure to talk with. Parts are treated on Fridays.
Thank you on the information about HDMI cables. Has any one treated a PS Audio Duet or Alan Maher products?
I now have a 100+ hours on my cryo'd system. Everything was treated from the A/c duplex to the headphones. My what a difference! The background is darker, the soundstage more 3-D, the notes more complex, the music emotionally is more relaxed but with greater feeling.
This has been a very satisfying experement. I have duplicate copies of a Pentatone Sacd- Hydan trio music. I had one copy cryo'd. Quite a positive improvement. This is audible on my headphone system and my speaker system. I am now a firm believer in this treatment of audio equipment.
I've had Alan and Chris Venhaus cryo a bunch of my stuff over the past few years and I've always heard significant improvements. Even my wife who doesn't care about this stuff agrees. I won't say what specifically so as to keep your listening clean.
Have fun.
