Results with cryogenic treatment

Posted by David Pritchard on October 17, 2010 at 18:51:22:

I would like to hear from fellow Audio asylum tweakers who have had audio components cryo treated. Are there some parts of the audio system that have a greater effect on sound after being treated?
I just had my entire headphone system treated by Cryogenics International this weekend. Everything from the A/C duplex, power cables, amplifier, vacuum tubes, headphone cables and headphones. I did not cryo my Sacd player as Charles at Cryogenics has had some units fail to track after treatment due to the tracking diode glue bond failing.
Once I get my system back, I will need to recook components using an Alan Kafton cable cooker and rebreakin my amp and headphones. I will be posting my impressions in a few weeks. One part of this experiment that is fun is that I have two copies of the same Sacd, so I sent one of the Sacd's to be treated. While this system is breaking in, I will listen to the treated and non treated Sacds on my second system. Thank you again Kenster for your past help and informitive posts.
