Or work together? Again, both are important, and not mutually exclusive to the other. I certainly would love to hear that comparison as well. The treated outlets could be installed in a power strip chassis (such as an Oyaide or Cryoparts) post-treatment for direct comparison.

The material is compressed during the deep freeze, then expands during the thaw. Apologies in advance for nit-picking.
I always use the word compacted for a reason. The expansion is not always uniform with the compaction, as there are voids in the materials that are reduced and/or eliminated. And to further pick nits, differing materials contract and expand at different rates. So there.
Alan, I'm afraid things are worse than you think. Much, much worse. Freezing any media such as video cassettes, DVDs, even books, can improve the sound of a CD that has NOT been frozen. So, I implore you, where does that leave us with our precious little theory of molecular reorganization? evil laughter

As far as the "precious little theory of molecular reorganization", it ain't a theory. It's a fact proven via electron microscope. All the others examples you raise I have no interest in, nor do I think things are "worse", or "much, much worse". You have no idea what I think, and I ain't thinking about what you're thinking.

Of course we know that "molecular reorganization" is responsible for why cryogenics works to improve strength and hardness and reduce mechanical stress for tools, musical instruments, gun barrels, etc. That much is not in dispute! But, if I can be so bold, drawing the same conclusion for why cryogenics (and freezing) works for CDs and LPs and other audio items is not logical for the reason I gave. I was one of the first in the US to get involved with cryogenics and freezing for audio applications. You know, back when Jesus was in diapers.
