Thanks for your reply. MRR (above) was kind enough to link the manual for his 1C's so I could read it. If you see my response to him, you'll see what a dork I was for missing the print on the terminal plate that says "use 1.5 AG fuses". Also, my terminals have no set screws, just female holes for banana plugs. I guess they have been pushed & pulled around so much they are no longer tight. Once I get the plate off, maybe I can either tighten them up or replace them.

Follow Ups:
Please, when the plate is off, see if you can replace the banana with real spade or bare wire terminals.
Banana plugs? Hate 'em
My MG-1s Did Not have setscrews and my banana plug DID fit snugly.
Too much is never enough
Okey dokey, but why do you hate banana plugs so much? I've always thought they were really convenient, and perhaps because of the level of my equipment, I've never noticed any difference in sound.

maybe prejudice.
I may simply prefer a good binding post. I'm currently using a premium expanding banana at my speaker ends.......But, when I open 'er up to bridge out the fuse, I'll investigate new posts.
Also, for the jumpers......than I can use a plated copper strap between jumper posts.....
some have reported 'not being able to find a good banana' after listening tests.

X2 on the locking (expanding) banana posts on the cable ends. Here's a nice pair:

I'd also change the binding posts:
http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-BPFI-G-Fully-Insulated-Binding/dp/B000BJEZ1U
I've seen the Dayton stuff and have it 'on the list' of possibles.
I would like to find Rhodium plated copper, if it sticks.
A 'C' note + for bananas? NOT on the list!
is there a preferred spade lug? Solder on or Crimp?
Too much is never enough
