Here's the MG-IC manual with fuse specs, etc, included. I'm not sure if the 1.5 amp fuse speced here is correct for your speaker. If my memory serves the MG-I's I had were supposeed to use 2 amp fuses. Hope this helps a bit. You can always play it safe and use the 1.5 amp fuses.

First off, thanks for going to the trouble of linking your manual. Once I had finished reading it, I went into the other room to check my terminals to see if they had a set screw, like your manual describes for the 1C, but nope, just a plain old female type terminal which looks as if it was made for bananas. While looking at those though, DANG! Right there on the nameplate, it says "use 1.5 AG type fuses". Duh, how did I miss that, especially since I even took the fuses out? Oh well. As they used to tell us at work "Pay Attention To Detail!". How soon we forget. Thanks again!

Not MY manual, just a link to the Maggie Users Group home page. There's a ton on info if you click on the "MUG Home" link at the top of the page. Explore and learn!

Yeah, sorry, I knew that (about the manual). I hope you guys (planar people collectively), don't mind me bugging you with multiple questions in the future, with what will probably be "duh" type questions, at least to you all. I'm new to this type of venture (rewiring/rebuilding) at this level. I've refurnished or rebuilt "regular" box type speakers, but mainly it was just replacing old drivers w/new and refinishing the cabinets. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed the more I think about what I'm getting into. I have no background in anything electrical and have only done (VERY) simple soldering. Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose. And these MG-1 IMP's were free, so I'm not out any money 'cept for the cost of the tweeter kit. Thanks again for your posts & info.

personally, I dont mind the questions at all...
If you get the chance though, the MUG home page is really a wealth of information. It does take a while tough to wade through it all!
