Hi Wendell,
I own a pair of FiiO headphones with a USB-C connector. They aren't as transparent as most of my other headphones and earphones; they seem to favor bass. However, I bought them because they can also be connected via Bluetooth as well as via USB-C and also via an auxiliary 3.5-mm analog headphone connection. They are very versatile with respect to connectability. ;-)
You can buy them on Amazon for $170 .
I bought Soditer recommended by HD Audio. Arrived yesterday. Nice product. Meets my needes perfectly and only cost $30. My kind of product. :-)

Earphones or headphones do not usually connect directly to a digital interface which is what USB is. They connect using an analogue port such as a 6.3 0r 3.5mm jack. Wireless 'phones usually use Blue Tooth for connection although other proprietary systems exist for home type wireless headphones ( such as from Sony or Sennheiser). Recent i-phones lacking a headphone socket may require a Lightning/headphone adaptor, otherwise see the link.
The USB port on, say, a phone or tablet is normally used to connect a DAC or DAC/amplifier which may have a suitable jack socket for the 'phones, for example the Dragonfly range from Audioquest (3.5mm jack).
Adaptors are available to enable DACs with USB A ports to connect to USB C ones.

My Samsung 20 does not have an analog port for phones. A set was included with the phone with a C connector. They're ok but suspect there may better choices.

I think that you will have the best success by choosing some 'phones that you really like without a USB C connector and using an adaptor as per the link. Unfortunately this one is unavailable currently ( at least here in the UK) but it is only an example.
Or ( if there is the budget) get an AQ Dragonfly plus the USB C adaptor cable (called a Dragontail) plus the cans of your choice. Best of all worlds; improve on the Sammy earphones and the phone's inbuilt amp.
BTW, thanks for the tip as I have been vaguely playing with the idea of upgrading my Galaxy 7 to the 20.

I will probably go the adapter route. I went from the 7 to the 20. Stupid money for a phone.

I use the Soditer USBC to audio mini adapter with built in DAC.
Just ordered it. Thank you.
