I think that you will have the best success by choosing some 'phones that you really like without a USB C connector and using an adaptor as per the link. Unfortunately this one is unavailable currently ( at least here in the UK) but it is only an example.
Or ( if there is the budget) get an AQ Dragonfly plus the USB C adaptor cable (called a Dragontail) plus the cans of your choice. Best of all worlds; improve on the Sammy earphones and the phone's inbuilt amp.
BTW, thanks for the tip as I have been vaguely playing with the idea of upgrading my Galaxy 7 to the 20.

I will probably go the adapter route. I went from the 7 to the 20. Stupid money for a phone.

I use the Soditer USBC to audio mini adapter with built in DAC.
