Who's Right? Technics or Dr. Feickert?

With my previous Rega TTs I have routinely used the Dr. Feickert Cartridge Alignment Protractor. But now I have a Technics SL-1300G TT which I like very much. It came with a "52mm overhang alignment jig." When I use the technic's jig it all sounds fine. But when I haul out the Feickert device to double check it it shows the overhang WAAAAY out of alignment. The stylus is too far back in the headshell.

One of the things I like about the Technics is that I can setup 3 or 4 cartridges on separate headshells and change them with just a change of tracking force (and phono stage settings, too).

But which should I trust? The Feickert or the Technics when it comes to overhang?

Today I installed a prized mid-1980's AT155LC and it sounds fabulous with the overhang set by the Technic's gauge, but using Feickert I can't even get close to setting the overhang that far forward in the headshell.

I'll have to see if I have any other alignment protractors any more.
