I highly skeptical of the the whole isolation business except for two areas.A- turntables. This one is obvious to anyone who grew up in the days before CDs. No big mystery, either, as the turntable & cartidge system is electro-mechanical in nature -- with the emphasis on mechanical.
B- Tube based equipment. The mechanism is fairly plausible as well, the grids and filiments can move is subject to external vibations. As an aside, this applies to tubes used in military gear such as radar to the extent there are 3elaborate specs and tests drawn up with ragard to how much is acceptable. Admittedly this had to do with explosions and other rough treatment, but the principle is the same.
So, I wouldn't dismiss your concern regarding tube equipment so quickly. If I were still listening to LPs with tube amps I would most definately think about this. The most direct approach is just to keep them well away from the speakers.
