I'm certain that the placebo effect does work on many, especially those with questionable acuity. I can understand how distinguishing an improvement, or lack of, may be hard for some. Their friends immediately notice a difference, they don't. They don't want to feel left out, or worse, have to admit that they can't distinguish a difference to their friends, that they aren't up to par. They try so hard, they tell themselves that there is a difference and believe that they hear something they don't.You see, Kristain, I'm not a follower. I openly admit that I can not distinguish the taste between organic farm eggs and those purchased from the local grocer. My kids razz me quite often about it. I could have lied about it and told myself there was a differnce. Certainly it would be much easier, right? I am doing oral chelation, which seems to be helping this sense, so, someday maybe I can. In the mean time, should I make posts on gourmet bullet boards suggesting the placebo effect to those who can distinguish a taste difference between organic and non-organic eggs?
I know what I hear. If I like it, I purchase it or keep it. If I don't like what I hear, I don't purchase it or I sell it.
It's a fairly simple concept. I suggest using your own hearing/hearing acuity to determine what works for you.
I'll continue to buy the organic eggs from my brother, because my Wife and Kids CAN distinguish a difference, not because I feel the need to fit in.
