To make matters worse, I recently read a newspaper article stating that brick & mortar businesses are lobbying heavily for internet businesses being required to collect sales tax, regardless of location - period. The brick & mortar guys feel that 'cause people save tax ordering online, this is an unfair competitive advantage!!This is a specious argument. Internet sales are simply mail order sales and mail order has been around far far longer than the Internet. The only difference is that it costs a lot less to put your catalog on the Internet than to have one printed up and mass mailed.
