Re: Digital sound

An interesting set of abstracts regarding the fundamental flaws of Redbook digital reproduction... It will also be interesting to see what the authors come up with regarding the reason why *high-resolution* digital does not sound right.

They got the time domain issue pretty much right (although it can be better-explained), the RFI issue is one that I hope is addressed by the industry. (I think the best way to attack RFI is to create "ultra-low-power" digital processing.) Otherwise I think digital will **never** be perfected, regardless of sample rate or number of bits utilized.
