I STRONGLY recommend to leave the dimensions EXACTLY as shown. Rearrange furniture, put the speakers on stands (they should be on stands in relatively free space anyway) see what you can do.

HiFi Speakers have nothing lost being stuck into cup-borads or the like.

Yes. I'd try to actually suspend the driver by the magnet from a brace using suitable adheasive. The actual Basket would only be connected to the Front via a gasket to seal the Box and damp the basket. The actual suspension would be from the magnet. It will likely also pay to damp the chassis somewhat using Bitumen.

Don't bother. Just mold something out of a suitable Plastic Material (childrens plastciline?).

Non. But make the enclosure out of Hardwood or at least void free Plywood. MDF is not a very good idea. BTW, I believe Madisound sells a relatively inexpensive readymade Box that has a suiatable size.

Sounds like a Idea. For the Cap try 1uF or thereabouts. Start with Polycarbonate, just for fun.
