Each of your lines has to be grounded at the breaker panel - usually the code is quite clear on that.ALWAYS check your code, not some Internet group recommendation, and we have been throught his discussion few times before. A separate rod for safety ground is usually illegal... but as I said... read the code...
You do something in a violation of the code, and someone gets zapped in your house, and you will be staring at the bill that will make the Wilson WAMM's look like a bargain speaker.
Just let your electricial do it according to code... then sleep peacefully.
