I mainly use a VTA ST-70 with GL KT-88 output tubes. Or my much beloved Sherwood S-5000 fully restored and upgraded by Mike Samra.
As for SS, the only piece I use on a regular basis is a vintage Marantz 250M that was fully restored and upgraded by Bob Speece, over at AudioKarma.
This NAD does have a quality I would like to try using a little more. But that bit of edginess just kills it for me in the long run. I bought this amp about eight years ago and it seems to always be sitting in the closet.
