Looking at a speaker from the point of view that a high frequency crossover should not have the drivers too far apart. I've been told to try to crowd the mid close to the tweeter for a smoother sound. If I were to use 2 mid/woofer drivers in a TMM arrangement it would make sense to have the lower mid roll off at the high end so as not to have 3 drivers producing the same frequencies at the same time. Then too, the 2 mids wouldn't be beaming their upper range at the listener while allowing the larger dispersed lows to re-enforce each other where more air movement is needed. Does this make sense? Do you think that my argument is valid?
