Hey Norm,
Had almost the same results as U did but it was the fuse in my Walker Audio Precision Motor Controller that I use to power my CD player.
Mind U, the fuse in the Walker is an ordinary glass fuse and even Lloyd Walker recommends one try each fuse direction to determine which produces the best sonic results. Add this in with the motor polarity switch on the WAPMC and things can get pretty interesting....... :-)
I agree that fuses in general should be included in reviews, what with the proliferation of the Hi-Fi Tuning fuses, the PS Audio fuses and others, but the mere mention of fuse polarity in some circles is tantamount to heresy!!!!
