Forget black CD's, try this and be amazed!
1) buy a batch of Sony 700 MB cd-r "supremas", they are cheap and very reliable
2) put your computer on 4 aluminium honeycomb slices or something else that is highly effective in controlling vibration
3) install a plextor DVD-burner (716A or better); upgrade online to the latest firmware if necessary
3) burn cd-images with plextools professional with Varirec 0 type D (which corresponds with the type 6 dye on the Sony's), als activate Gigarec 0,8x if possible (basically you get slightly larger pits), at 8x speed max.
4) enjoy !
